Breaking Bread is an interfaith, bridge-building initiative from Students Supporting Israel (SSI), designed to bring Jewish, Christian, and other student communities together around one of the most ancient forms of connection — a shared meal.
We reject the lie that Zionist is a dirty word. In a time when students are told to whisper their support for Israel, Breaking Bread dares to speak it out loud — with pride, with purpose, and with people from all walks of life gathered at the same table. At SSI, we don’t believe in hiding who we are or filtering our beliefs to make others comfortable. Zionism is not a slur — it’s a story of peoplehood, justice, and survival. And through shared meals, honest conversation, and unity with our likeminded friends, we’re reclaiming it, one dinner at a time. |
