​In May 2017, SSI at Chapman University became the first SSI chapter in California to pass a pro-Israel resolution, with the Student Senate voting 13-0-2 in support of the Jewish people and the Jewish and democratic State of Israel.

The resolution marked SSI's 8th legislative victory across the country since 2014, following chapters at Minnesota, University of Georgia, Texas A&M, Ryerson University, Capital University, Indiana University, and Kent State.
