Onward - built for a time such as this.
9th National Conference  |  📍South Florida  |  📆 Jan. 6 & 7, 2026
APPLY NOW
SSI moves ONWARD
Built for a time such as this!
This January in South Florida, SSI students from across the various chapters will gather united to network, listen, share, and get inspired!
We are proud to announce our 9th National Conference, with the theme Onward, taking place January 6 through 7, 2026 (Tuesday & Wednesday).
The SSI conference is our movement's most exciting event of the year, where after a long academic year of programs, events, and activities on campuses we all get a chance to come together as one!

The Onward theme represents strength.
These are difficult times for Israel, but when obstacles arise, we cannot retreat. Brick by brick, program by program, SSI students are here to oppose the antisemitic and anti-Israel hate in our academic institutions, and to build renewed connections with our fellow students on campus.

The Onward theme is vision. Our eyes are focused on the future. We aim at building a Zionist tomorrow and lay the groundwork for positive communication with our fellow academic community members though strength, shared values and meaning.

The Onward theme encompasses our mission. We are not passive participants. Together, we are a student force, carrying the banner of Zionism onto every campus. We will not give up on our identity, and will defend Israel’s right to sovereignty, protect the Jewish people, and carry this movement forward.

Together, we go ONWARD. Together, we are SSI.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
To attend SSI’s 9th National Conference, students must be:
  • Signers of the Jewish Future Promise, committing to support the Jewish State and the Jewish people.

  • Current college students involved with Students Supporting Israel on their campus.
*Priority registration will be given to SSI registered members - so if you are an SSI chapter member who haven't yet officially registered with SSI, please visit the membership page.
TRAVEL REIMBURSEMENTS
SSI conference travel is heavily subsidized.

FOR STUDENTS TRAVELING FROM OUT OF STATE:
  • SSI will reimburse travel costs up to the following amounts:
    • $300 for East Coast
    • $400 for Midwest and South
    • $500 for West Coast (Washington State, Oregon, California, Calgary)
  • To qualify for the reimbursement, students must arrive in South Florida before 12:00PM ET on Tuesday, January 6, and schedule return flights on or after Friday, January 8.

  • Reimbursements will be processed within three weeks after the conclusion of the conference through electronic payment (PayPal, Venmo, Zelle - based on your preferred method).

  • SSI is not responsible for checked bags, trip protections, seat upgrades, cancellation fees, or any other additional travel costs.

  • Students are responsible for their own transportation from the airport to the hotel. The closest airports are Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Palm Beach (PBI). Arranging ridesharing with other conference attendees is recommended.

Please note - students must receive approval via email from SSI Nationals on their flight itinerary before purchasing tickets to ensure eligibility for reimbursement. Once your application is accepted, you will receive all the guidelines on how to do this.

After booking your travel, fill out the following 2026 9th SSI National Conference Reimbursement Form where you can upload your receipts.

  • Students who are accepted must submit the required $150 refundable security deposit within 10 days of receiving their acceptance notice to confirm their spot.
Because SSI needs to secure vendor service for the conference, please understand that:
  • For a cancelation after confirming attendance past 12/01/2025, the deposit will not be refunded.

  • Cancellations due to extenuating circumstances may be reviewed by the SSI National team on a case-by-case basis, and may be refunded if SSI will be successful with filling up the spot with another participant.
DRESS CODE
One of the most frequently asked questions!

Conference attire is Business Casual.

Please no jeans, shorts or short skirts, casual attire during the conference.
For examples of business casual attire, please visit the SSI Pinterest Board labeled "Business Casual" for ideas!
FREE TIME
The conference schedule is full and fast-paced, filled with engaging sessions, hands on activities, and exciting programming!  We only have two days to get together as a movement, so students should plan to be present for all official programming on January 6 and January 7.

Limited free time may be available in the evenings after programming concludes, and students are expected to remain with the conference group during these hours.

January 8 is a checkout day with no official programming. Students may use this time for travel or personal plans before departing.

SSI does not provide additional hotel nights beyond January 6 and January 7. Students who wish to extend their stay are responsible for making their own arrangements.
