While the SSI national conference this year was moved to a later date (TBD) due to the circumstances, SSI was proud to host the 2020 Students Supporting Israel Awards Gala on Monday, December 28th, 2020.
Many SSI leaders and members executed unique, educational, and important programs throughout the year, keeping the flame of pro-Israel and Zionist activism alive within the academic community.
We believe that our diverse and dynamic group of students are the reason 2020 continued to be a success for the SSI movement, despite the unpredicted circumstances stacked against us.
While the COVID-19 pandemic brought hardship to the world, campus-life was significantly impacted. Students across the globe were forced to re-learn their campus climate by transitioning to a non-traditional form of activism online.
Through trial and error, the iconic Students of Students Supporting Israel refused to give up and persevered, in a grassroots fashion, through the restrictions inflicted upon them by this global crisis.
It was our honor to host this special evening, bringing together students, supporters, and friends of Israel, recognizing the individuals who showed outstanding leadership and activism throughout the year!
