Every track below is a highlights a specific element of Israel's environmental record, paired with a way to actually use it on your campus. Pick your track, pick a format, and request materials to host on campus!

TRACK 01 — THE INNOVATION

DRIP IRRIGATION

In 1959, Israeli engineer Simcha Blass designed drip irrigation, feeding water and nutrients straight to a plant's roots instead of flooding a field. Run the mini drip demo live at your table, hand out potted plants and postcards, and challenge students to guess how much water one drip line saves against a garden hose.

TRACK 02 — THE POLICY

THE 30-YEAR CLIMATE PLAN

BEST FOR APRIL 22 — EARTH DAY

In 2021, Israel launched a 30-year plan to cut greenhouse gas emissions 80% by 2050, including the fastest coal phase-out pace in the world. Post the fact carousel to your chapter's Instagram the week of April 22, or print postcards and set them up at a table with a QR code linking back to the source.

TRACK 03 — THE TRADITION

TU B'SHVAT SEDER

Tu B'Shvat, the new year for trees, falls on the 15th of Shevat and marks the start of the growing season in Israel. Gather four or more friends, walk through the SSI toolkit's seder script blessing by blessing over the seven species, and send everyone home with a seed packet to plant.
