Great and Exciting News for Students!
$1,000 Israel Study Abroad Scholarship!

For SSI's five year anniversary, the movement has launched a unique scholarship opportunity. The program is designed to help potential strong pro-Israel leaders to visit Israel and come back to campus ready for action!

We believe that students who created meaningful personal connections with the local population and truly immersed in the daily life experience of the country, will become the best ambassadors of Israel and against the boycott movement upon return, using their own knowledge and positive memories as motivation to act.

Many universities currently offer a study abroad program in one of Israel’s higher education institutions, or will allow for credits to transfer from another university if such program is not in existence. Despite the general availability of programs and the willingness and desire of students to travel, many students cannot do so, since the biggest obstacle to participating in a study abroad program is the cost.

The qualified candidate for this scholarship will be a person who:

1. has demonstrated a strong interest in Israel related issues and has a campus leadership experience, thus a potential to become a strong leader upon returning from Israel, OR has already been involved with a pro-Israel group or activism, but has never been to Israel before on a trip that is longer than two weeks.

2. has at least one more year left before graduation and after returning from the program in Israel.

3. has provided proof of acceptance to the study abroad program in Israel.

If you are qualified, please contact us for an application via the Contact Us page.

This initiative is a follow up on the pro-Israel resolutions passed by SSI in student governments that call to invest in Israel instead of boycotting it, and recommending doing so by expanding existing or creating new the study abroad options in Israel. In executing the resolutions, students will travel to Israel and experience living in the country for an extended period such as one semester to a year. We are excited to help provide such opportunity to students!
