University of California, Santa Barbara UNANIMOUSLY Passes Resolution Adopting IHRA Definition of Antisemitism. The resolution to adopt the definition of antisemitism passed in a unanimous vote of 28-0! The bill includes and adopts the IHRA definition which defines antisemitism as “Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities.” |

This is the 10th SSI university to pass IHRA legislation in an ongoing effort to combat antisemitism and support the Jewish peoples’ right to self determination since August of 2020.
Furthermore, this is the 20th university since February 2014 to pass legislation in their student government with the direct assistance of SSI and our student leaders.
